and i thought all kinds of shit’ll be flying when this work week starts. nothing really big happening yet, everything’s cool. but they’re staging another rally in makati this wednesday, ayaw pa rin talaga sumuko nina jinggoy, let’s see how this turns out. heard from a reliable source that we should be ready on wednesday, that folks at the pnp-spd makati city police station are gearing up for a possible sticky situation. everybody just relax, ok? walang makulit..
saw on anc snippets of all that has been happening lately, from the confession to susan roces almost blowing a vein to cory’s resignation appeal, the resignation of the cabinet, yada yada yada, leading up to last friday’s rally, rolling it into a (medyo) dramatic sumthin’sumthin’ about they crew being there and shit to deliver all these to the people… used to love that kind of stuff, but lately it’s like.. eto na naman, may drama na naman sa pilipinas.. medyo nakakaumay din pala pag parang adik na nire-rehab at nagre-relapse ang bansa mo, no? di na nakakaaliw.
2001 pa pala huli nag-champion ang san miguel, ano? well, they got their 17th chip last night, and hearing about their title drought made me suddenly realize how fast time really flies. the last team they beat was ginebra in the all-filipino, nanood pa kami nun sa araneta, rookie pa si caguioa and ron jacobs was still team consultant. parang kailan lang yun, now they just got out of a four-year slump?
bilis, grabe.
i keep telling kids in their early twenties, yung mga bagong graduate lang, to enjoy the next five years, they will blow by very quickly.
well, i can’t really advise them about work, pachonggo-chonggo lang ako when i survived college, and i’m not really sure how one should attack the real world after you graduate. work hard, pray a lot and enjoy the ride. kasi magigising ka isang araw 30 ka na. hahaha…
so it’s official. i had my first episode of mid-life crisis at 29. tama ba naman yun?
nagulat ako nung nanalo pa ang UP sa first game nila. i was watching the first half and went: “eto na naman kami…”. sloppy play, poor execution, forced shots… i’m sure they committed 273 turnovers in the first half alone. well they didn’t, but it sure felt like it.
pero tingnan mo nga naman, nanalo pa. 7 wins na lang, makaka-final four na tayo. sana. hopefully that first half can be blamed on nerves. dark horse pa pala ang UP ayon sa scouting reports. o-key.
they had 3 guys on the roster that were former la salle players who already graduated and are taking their masters’ degree in UP naming mahal. pwede pala yun. well, they found a loophole, and the UAAP board said that this is the last year they were going to allow that. if you’re a masters’ student you can only be allowed to play if you graduated from the same university. o-ha? tar-ray..
pwede pala yun. sayang. dapat nag-ensayo na lang ako kesa nagpuyat nang nagpuyat sa pag-aarkitekto at pagtatrabaho sa club…masarap pa naman sana umupo sa bangko ng araneta..
